Enjoy the beauty of the Northwoods at the Great Escape of Phelps. The Great Escape is located 12 miles North of Eagle River on Highway 17 on the shores of the beautiful North Twin Lake.

North Twin is a class "A" Musky lake. Along with Musky, you will find Northern Pike, Walleye, Large Mouth Bass, Small Mouth Bass, Pan fish, Trout and Cisco.

Summer is a wonderful time to plan a great vacation at the Great Escape. With 2 brand new 40' piers, the Great Escape offers and excellent opportunity to fish on a class "A" musky lake. North Twin's water is of exceptional clarity, inviting all kinds of summer water activities - fishing, water skiing, canoeing, kayaking and swimming. The scenery is beautiful and hiking is a must for the opportunity to experience the wilderness that the Nicolet National Forest Offers.

The Great Escape has two cabins on the Lake and an additional condo adjacent to the bar. Our cabins are available year 'round with screened porches overlooking the Lake. There are grills and picnic tables located outside each cabin. On warm summer nights, you can enjoy gathering around the firepit for a bonfire, or watch the sunset from the large deck on the lake side of the restaurant/tavern.

The Great Escape's bar offers a full menu with weekly specials, a big screen TV, a pool table and darts. We also offer a large 3 bedroom furnished condo with free laundry facilities.

And the Great Escape isn't just for the summer! Our cabins are cozy and warm, and we're located on some of the best snowmobile trails around, just minues from Eagle River. Whether snowmobiling, cross country skiing or ice fishing, the Great Escape is your perfect vacation headquarters!
